HERB GARDEN

It is well known that cats sometimes eat grass to get rid of hairballs. There are some who just enjoy it. One of my cats could measure up to a cow. The grass is harmless PROVIDED it is untreated and is not sprayed or fertilized. There are also herbs that are appreciated by cats, although they can also ignore them. The following herbs can be safely used for this:

Cat grass or wheatgrass (Triticum aestivum)

Crispate mint (Mentha spicata var. crispata)

Valerian (Valeriana officinalis)

Common thyme (Thymus vulgaris)

Wild thyme (Thymus serpyllum)

Hyssop (Hyssopus officinalis)

Common evening primrose (Oenothera)

Feverfew (Chrysanthemum parthenium)

True Catnip (Nepeta cataria)

Water mint (Mentha aquatica)

Lemon balm (Melissa officinalis)

Brown flatsedge (Cyperus fuscus)
